About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

Chicago plays with such energy & enthusiasm, and sounds as fabulous as ever! The founding members still have the chops to play a 2 hr show. Loved, loved, loved the show!

    Ed’s Review

by Chicago At ASTRO on 5/18/24The Astro Amphitheater - La Vista

I was disappointed in this show the weather Delay Because Of Storms. Which I can understand that it happens. But they dropped 13 Songs from their Set List. Usually they play Longer and take a 30 minute intermission. That didn’t happen this time so it ended abruptly at 9:30 pm!!!

    First time at Astro Theater

by Cher on 5/18/24The Astro Amphitheater - La Vista

Chicago was fabulous — song after song after song all evening! However, this venue is outdoors. Not sure how I missed that but it sure would have been good to know ahead of time. Sprinkled on us a bit but the temps were too cold for a long sleeved t-shirt.

    Band 5 stars, venue 3

by Average Joe on 5/18/24The Astro Amphitheater - La Vista

Chicago was, as always, an excellent concert experience. There are very few bands I can recognize every song played in concert. May not know the title, but some of the words and certainly the melody. The venue was somewhat disappointing. Thought it was indoors, but was held outside... with rain delay and wet seats etcetera etcetera...

    Missed Lamm

by MScott on 3/25/24The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

It was a very good show, but I really missed seeing Robert Lamm. The horn section was spot on Neil Donnell did a good job with the vocals, but would really have loved to have heard Robert Lamb, singing some of my favorite songs. It was worth the money, but could have been better.
